Charge
The Task Force to Update “How to Submit a Rule Change Proposal” is charged to:
- Review and update the document, “How to Submit a Rule Change Proposal to CC:DA” in light of RDA, taking into account the following:
- Changes in terminology, names, and URLs
- Changes to the JSC’s processes and timetables
- Incorporate changes to the “Formal Elements of a Rule Revision Proposal” section to reflect current methods of sharing documents electronically and to simplify the rules for mark-up of the proposed changes
- Consider additions to the text that might assist in preparation of a revision proposal
- Incorporate new examples in the Appendix
- Draft a brief set of interim guidelines to provide assistance to those wishing to propose revisions to RDA while the fuller guidelines are being developed
The brief set of interim guidelines should be developed no later than August 31. The Task Force should submit a final report by Midwinter 2012.
