Until We Meet Again

Next week I move on to a new chapter in my career as assistant chief of technology, content, and innovation at the Chicago Public Library. I plan to continue my ALA and ALCTS membership, and I expect to work alongside you again in the future as a colleague and friend. Members are the heart and brain of any association, and as executive director I have found ALCTS members to be dedicated, passionate, and generous with their time and expertise. You are simply the best.

Treshani Perera: My Conference Experience

I learned a lot about myself as a cataloger, early-career professional, and participant in large conferences while attending my first ALA Annual Conference in June 2018. As a specialist cataloger, I mostly attend subject-specific conferences, but as an early-career cataloging librarian, I wanted to attend Annual Conference in order to connect with the greater cataloging community.
