This session was sponsored by the ALCTS Aquisition Section Committee on Research & Statistics. Committee members Katherine Brown (Auraria Library), Keri Perlitz (ProQuest), Jeff Eller (Wake Forest University), and Katy DiVittorio (Auraria Library) moderated. Discussion topics focused on how libraries are working to diversify their collections.
Continue readingOn June 22, 2018, the American Library Association (ALA) and the Association for Specialized, Government and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASGCLA) co-sponsored the National E-book Summit at the 2018 ALA Annual Conference. The Summit was meant to continue the work of the ALA Working Group on Libraries and Digital Content to further the conversation between librarians, consortia, publishers, distributors and other thought leaders around e-books and libraries and to begin to create a national agenda around ebooks in libraries.
